1934 Mr. Cooper began pursuing a career as Postmaster in Beaumont.
The majority of the collection's correspondence is concerned with
his application for this position. R.S. Cooper was involved in
numerous civic organizations in the Beaumont community. For many
years he served as editor and publisher of the magazine Coastal
Cattleman.

Annual Membership Dinner and Election (Beaumont Chamber of
Commerce, 1934) signed by Ralph S. Cooper and autographed by Jack
