Neches River Festival Programs

Description
The Neches River Festival was conceived on May 3, 1947, when Mr. Caldwell McFaddin, President of
Beaumont's Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Clarence DeBush, Executive Vice President and Secretary,
discussed plans for the betterment of Beaumont and the Chamber of Commerce. On May 28, 1949, a charter
was obtained from the State of Texas for a nonprofit organization named The Neches River Festival, Inc."
This spring festival has successfully promoted the city's heritage with the theme of Beaumont's annual good
will event of the year.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
This collection was processed in original order. It contains five boxes of Neches River Festival Programs in
chronological order in the conclusive years 1949 to the present.
No restrictions apply.
