First Land Grants in Jefferson County Collection, 1930s (Content: 1824-1838,1930x)
DESCRIPTION
This small collection consists of three items related to the history of Jefferson County: an official ballot
from the Democratic Party for Jefferson County, circa 1930s; "Early Immigrants to Texas" published in
the Beaumont Enterprise in 1934; and "Copies of First land Grants Issued in Jefferson County, Republic
of Texas", January 1838 through March 1838. These were donated by the Col. George Moffett Chapter
of the D.A.R.
