Grinnell DESCRIPTION This collection is comprised of newspaper clippings, special editions, and newsprint photographs from the Beaumont Journal and Enterprise in commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Spindletop oil boom. The clippings cover numerous topics, including histories, biographies and interviews with participants. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley B. Grinnell, Sr. donated the collection; it was compiled by Mrs. P.V. Seastrunk. The collection is in extremely poor condition and must be handled with care. No restrictions apply.
