Wearing full personnel protective equipment, the examinee shall properly secure and
supply the downed firefighter with supplied air from the RIG pack by changing out the low
pressure hose.

With the downed firefighter lying on the ground, you shall correctly secure and supply air
to the downed firefighter by replacing their low pressure regulator with the RIG pack low
pressure regulator using proper methods and procedures. The cylinder psi will be below 1000.
The skill will begin on my instruction to start. The skill will end when all steps have been met
and the examinee successfully supplies air to the downed firefighter. Do you understand these
instructions?

The examinee will not be able to review the performance steps prior to testing. The
downed firefighter shall be in place before admitting the examinee into the test area. The
examinee will not be able to touch the SCBA or the RIG pack prior to the start of the
examination.
