Given an aerial apparatus and a spotter, the Driver/Operator shall back a vehicle from a
roadway into restricted spaces on both the right and left sides of the vehicle, into a restricted space
12 ft. in width, requiring 90-degree right-hand and left-hand turns from the roadway, so that the
vehicle is parked within the restricted areas without having to stop and pull forward and without
striking obstructions.

Simulate an alley dock exercise by arranging cones 50 ft. from a boundary line (the dotted
line in the illustration is the boundary line). The cones should be 12 ft. apart, and the length should
be approximately 20 ft. The Driver/Operator should pass the cones with the dock on the left and
then back the apparatus, using a 90-degree left turn, into the alley dock. The exercise should then be
repeated with the dock on the right side, using a 90-degree right turn.
