The firefighter will describe and demonstrate the methods to inspect personnel protective
equipment.

You will be given a complete set of wildland protective equipment. You shall perform an
inspection of the protective equipment in a proficient manner. You will verbally state whether
each item is serviceable or defective. If defective, you will verbally state the proper process for
completing a work order. You will begin on my instruction to start. The skill will end when you
state to me that you have completed all of the identified steps. Do you understand these
instructions?
