The firefighter shall maintain fire suppression hand tools and equipment so that defects
are recognized and reported, the assigned equipment is serviceable when needed.

Given a randomly selected hand tool, you shall demonstrate the ability to clean, inspect,
sharpen and place the equipment so that it is in a serviceable and ready state for deployment, or
if not serviceable, that the defects are properly reported. You will begin on my instruction to
start. The skill will end when you state to me that you have completed all of the identified steps.
