ObjectiveObjectiveObjectiveObjective The firefighter, given an equipped fire apparatus and hydrant and wearing protective clothing, shall demonstrate making a hydrant connection from the hydrant to the pump intake using a 2-½ inch or 5” soft supply hose and then fully open and close the hydrant. Once the hose has been connected to the hydrant and the intake of the apparatus, you will then fully open and close the hydrant. You will be required to complete the mandatory steps while performing this skill. The skill will end when you state to me that you have completed all of the identified steps.
