The firefighter shall identify and read the gauges on a standard wet-pipe automatic
sprinkler system. The firefighter shall confirm that the valve to the gauge(s) is fully opened and
identify the purpose of the gauge readings.

You will identify and read the gauge(s) on a wet-pipe automatic sprinkler system. After
identifying the gauge(s), you will confirm that the valve to the gauge(s) is fully open and
verbalize the gauge readings to the evaluator. You will then identify the purpose of the gauge
readings to the evaluator. You will be required to verbalize key steps and complete mandatory
steps while performing this skill. You will begin on my instruction to start. The skill will end
when you state to me that you have completed all of the identified steps. Do you understand
these instructions?
