The firefighter shall accomplish the skill in 6 minutes. II. II. II. II. Instructions Instructions Instructions Instructions –––– Procedures for Achieving the ObjectiveProcedures for Achieving the ObjectiveProcedures for Achieving the ObjectiveProcedures for Achieving the Objective While wearing full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), you shall demonstrate the proper method of replacing a burst section of 2-½” or line. You shall complete the mandatory steps while performing this skill. You have 6 minutes to complete this skill. You will begin on my instruction to start. The skill will end when you state tom me that you have completed all of the identified steps. Do you understand these instructions? III. III. III. III. The extra hose shall be rolled with the female coupling exposed. The firefighter will not be allowed to review the performance steps at the time of testing. IV. IV. IV. IV. Hydrant or fire apparatus can be used for water supply NOTE: The firefighter shall accomplish the skill wearing “FULL PROTECTIVE CLOTHING FOR STRUCTURAL FIREFIGHTER”as required by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection to include helmet, coat, boots, hood, and trousers.
