HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 14-149RESOLUTION NO. 14 - 149 WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of eight (8) Self- Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and eight -two (82) Face Masks for use by the Fire Department; and, WHEREAS, Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the amount of $53,896.40 as shown in Exhibit "A," attached hereto; and, WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., of Houston, Texas, should be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and, THAT the bid submitted by Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., of Houston, Texas, for the purchase of eight (8) Self- Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and eight -two (82) Face Masks for use by the Fire Department in the amount of $53,896.40, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., of Houston, Texas, for the purposes described herein. 2014.
