WHEREAS, the lawsuit styled Robert Louis Patillo vs. The City of Beaumont, Case
No. A-194,989 discussed in Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, April 2,
2014; and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is requesting authority to settle this lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit styled
Robert Louis Patillo vs. The City of Beaumont; Case No. A-194,989, for the sum of Four
Thousand and XX/100 Dollars ($4,000.00); and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute all documents related to settlement of the lawsuit.
