WHEREAS,. a -.petition signed by the owner .of all of the

AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING
OF THE SOUTH SIXTY-FOUR (64') FEET OF THE ALLEY
.. RUNNING GENERALLY NORTH AND SOUTH IN BLOCK 2 OF THE
_ JOHNSON & GIROLAMO ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
'PEXAS.
•,WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owner of all of the
property abutting the south sixty-four (641) feet of the alley
running generally north and south in Block 2 of the'Johnson & Gir-
olamo Addition to The City of Beaumont has been presented to the
City.Council of The City of Beaumont, requesting that the south
sixty-four '(641) feet of said alley be vacated and abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, said petition has been referred to the City Plan-
ning Commission for study, investigation and recommendation to the
City Council as to whether such proposal should be approved, and
the.City Planning Commission has thoroughly studied and investigated
said proposal and recommended to the City Council that the approval
of the proposal would be to the best interest and benefit of the
public, and that said proposal should, therefore, be approved; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of The City of Beaumont
and benefit to the public that the above-mentioned portion of said
alley be vacated and closed;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUKONT,
TEXAS
