BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, on April 29, 2008, the City Council approved Resolution No. 08-119
authorizing the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Jefferson County for
the management and operation of the 800 MHz radio system; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Orange, Texas is upgrading its 800 MHz system and has
requested to join the Southeast Texas Regional Radio System; and,
WHEREAS, an Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement with Jefferson County is
required to add the City of Orange, Texas to the Southeast Texas Regional Radio System;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute an Amendment
to the Interlocal Agreement with Jefferson County to add the City of Orange, Texas to the
Southeast Texas Regional Radio System.
