WHEREAS, the Texas State University System has offered to convey a ten
foot(10')wide water line easement out of Lots or Tracts 30, 31, 33, 34 and 35, Gladys City
Oil and Gas Manufacturing Company Subdivision, being an 0.092 acre of land out of the
John Veatch Survey, Abstract No. 55, as described in Exhibit"A"and shown on Exhibit"B"
attached hereto, to the City of Beaumont for the purpose of providing mandatory access
to the water lines and fire hydrants for Lamar University property located off Rolfe
Christopher Drive and allowing for the construction, alteration,operation and maintenance
of the said water lines and appurtenances; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purpose of said conveyance and
is of the opinion that the acceptance of said conveyance is necessary and desirable and
that same should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the easement conveyed by the Texas State University System, as described in
Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B," be and the same is hereby, in all things, accepted.

BEING a 0.092 acre tract or parcel of land situated in the John Veatch Survey, Abstract
No. 55, Jefferson County, Texas and also being out of and part of that certain 21.628 acre
tract described in a Warranty Deed dated November 7t", 1974, from The Gladys City
Company to Lamar University, recorded in Volume 1856, Page 89 of the Deed Records,
Jefferson County, Texas, said 0.092 acre tract being more particularly described as
follows:
NOTE. All bearings are based on the Texas State Plane Coordinate System
— 9983, South Central Zone. All distances shown are surface.
COMMENCING at a 5/8" iron rod found for the Northeast corner of the aforesaid 21 .268
acre tract, the same being the Southwest corner of that certain called 4.0 acre tract
described in a Warranty Deed dated June 15t", 1965, from South Park Independent
School District to Lamar State College of Technology, recorded in Volume 1429, Page
474, Deed Records, Jefferson County, Texas;
THENCE N 58 029'10" E along and with the North line of the aforesaid 21.268 Acre tract
for a distance of 999.02 feet to an iron rod found, said iron rod being located on the West
right of way line of Rolfe Christopher Drive as described as 3.131 acres in Deed without
Warranty from Lamar University to the City of Beaumont dated June 7t", 1983, recorded in
Film Code 100-43-0252, Official Public Records, Jefferson County, Texas;
THENCE S 30 018'08" E along and with the West right of way line of Rolfe Christopher
Drive a distance of 51.51 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING of the easement herein
described;
THENCE continuing along and with the West right of way line of said Rolfe Christopher
Drive S 30 018'08" E for a distance of 20.25' to a point for corner;
THENCE S 00 042'43" E for a distance of 156.96' to a point for corner;
THENCE S 14 021'34" E for a distance of 89.08' to a point for corner;
THENCE S 75 038'26" W for a distance of 10.00' to a point for corner;
