HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 00-59 ORDINANCE NO. G� - ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A CHURCH IN A HI (HEAVY INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT, LOCATED AT 595 S. FOURTH STREET IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Beaumont desires to issue a specific use permit to Habert Rhodes, Raven Enterprises, Inc., to allow a church, located at 595 S. Fourth Street in a HI (Heavy Industrial) District, being all of Lots 5 through 11, Block 36, Cartwright Terrace Addition, containing 1.24 acres, more or less, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the issuance of such specific use permit is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the hereinafter described conditions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. That all conditions necessary for issuance of a specific use permit have been met and a specific use permit to allow a church, located at 595 S. Fourth Street, in a HI (Heavy Industrial) District, being all of Lots 5 through 11, Block 36, Cartwright Terrace Addition, containing 1.24 acres, more or less, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, is hereby granted to Habert Rhodes, Raven Enterprises, Inc., his legal representatives, successors and assigns for that certain tract G AMOROINANCISPECUSE.CON shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, subject to the following condition: the rear of the property is to be cleaned up and materials to be removed within 30 days to allow for parking. Section That the specific use permit herein granted is expressly issued for and in accordance with each particular and detail of the site plan attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 3. Notwithstanding the site plan attached hereto, the use of the property hereinabove described shall be in all other respects subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, as amended.
