BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: WHEREAS, the City Council on January 9, 2007, abandoned streets and alleys located within the former Fair Park property to facilitate the Beaumont Housing Authority development; and, WHEREAS, an additional 60'x 500' portion of Averill Street needs to be abandoned; and; WHEREAS,the City Council is of the opinion that the abandonment of this property is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT a 60'x 500' portion of Averill Street from Maime to the dead end of Averill Street, as described in Exhibit"A"and shown on Exhibit"B"attached hereto, be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned.
