WHEREAS, on October 11, 2005,the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 05-212 awarding a contract in the amount of $584,525 to Utility
Service Company, Inc., Houston, Texas, for the Rehabilitation of the Northwest Elevated
Water Storage Tank at Lucas Street Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order Nos. 1, 2 and 3 in the total amount of ($7,200)
decreasing the amount to $577,325, did not require council action; and,
WHEREAS,Change Order No.4 in the amount of($38,680)decreasing the contract
to$538,645, is required to delete Additive Bid Item No. 1 (to pressure wash tank if soluble
salt content is above 100 parts per million), delete 8,721 square feet of sodding and adjust
contract time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 4
in the amount of ($38,680) decreasing the contract to $538,645 for the Rehabilitation of
the Northwest Elevated Water Storage Tank at Lucas Street Project
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 29th day of May,
2007.
