WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract for the purchase of traffic
marking materials for the Public Works Department, Transportation Division; and,
WHEREAS, Trantex, Inc., Houston, Texas, and Vulcan Signs, Foley, Alabama,
submitted bids respectively in the amounts of $29,635 and $37,467 as shown on the
attached Exhibit "A"; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Trantex, Inc.,
Houston, Texas, and Vulcan Signs, Foley, Alabama, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Trantex, Inc., Houston, Texas, and Vulcan Signs, Foley,
Alabama, for an annual contract for the purchase of traffic marking materials for the Public
Works Department, Transportation Division respectively in the amounts of $29,635 and
$37,467 as shown on the attached Exhibit "A" be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 20th day of
March, 2007.
