City Attorney Myrtle Corgey City Clerk -000- The Invocation was given by the Reverend Gordy Nesom, Dawndale Baptist Church. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Combs . -000,- The Minutes of the regular City Council session held July 3 , 1979, were approved on a motion made by Councilman Evans and seconded by Council- woman McGinnis. Question : Ayes : All Nayes : None -000-- Resolution 79-240 authorizing the City Manager to execute a street main- tenance agreement with the Louisiana-Pacific Corporation for a logging operation to be conducted in the vicinity of Speer and Savery Roads was approved on a motion made by Councilman Combs and seconded by Councilman Evans. Question : Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- Resolution 79-241 accepting the bid of Motorola Communications and Elec- tronics, Inc . for furnishing and installing a satellite voting receiver system for use by the Police Department at a cost of $23 ,403 . 00 was ap- proved on a motion made by Councilman Combs and seconded by Councilman Evans. Question : Ayes: All Nayes : None -000- Resolution 79-242 authorizing continuation of a lease agreement for fur- nishing an IBM copier (coin-operated) for the Beaumont Public Library at a cost of $254. 10 per month was approved on a motion made by Councilwoman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Williams. Question : Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- Resolution 79-243 accepting the bid of Euthanair Company for furnishing a decompression chamber at a cost of $5 , 295. 00 was approved on a motion made by Councilman Evans and seconded by Councilman Combs . Question : Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- -100- July 10, 1979 Resolution 79-244 authorizing payment of $1 ,884 .68 to Carl Griffith, Jr . for damages to the residence located at 3740 Broadmoor Drive was approved on a motion made by Councilwoman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Williams. Question : Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- Resolution 79-245 rejecting bids received on a Walkie Stacker was approved on a motion made by Councilman Evans and seconded by Councilman Williams.
