BE IT REMEMBERED that the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, met in
regular session this the 20th day of July, 1976 , with the follow_-Ing present:

The minutes of the regular City Council session held July 13, 1976, were approved
on a motion made by Councilwoman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Evans .

Resolution 76-215 authorizing the award of bids for the manufacture and instal-
lation of a 2300 volt service feeder loop for the pump station of the Water Pro-
duction Department to Marine and Industrial Electric Service Company in the
amount of $3 , 811. 00, this being the only bid received, was approved on a motion
made by Councilman Evans and seconded by Councilwoman McGinnis.

Ordinance 76-79 authorizing a zoning change from C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial)
to I-1 (Light Industrial) of a 2. 01 acre tract described as Lots 1-4 and 6-15
of Block 7 , Kirby Addition, located generally in the block bounded by N. Pearl,
N. Main, Hazel and North Streets (request by R. L. Ohmstede for expansion of
Ohmstede Machine Works) was considered:

Ordinance No. 76-80 authorizing the abandonment of a portion of Baker Road
right-of-way, located generally from the L.N.V.A. Canal along Lot 9, Unit 5 ,
South Amelia Addition and Lot 1, Block 8 , Wescalder Fig Acres Addition (re-
quested by L.N.V.A. for actual relocation of a portion of the Canal), was ocn-
sidered;

The Ordinance was approved on a motion made by Councilman Evans and seconded by
Councilwoman McGinnis.

Resolution 76-216 authorizing negotiation for right-of-way required for the
Crow Road Extension, Project No. 71-74-112, was approved on a motion made by
Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilwoman McGinnis.

Resolution 76-217 authorizing the City Manager to give written authorization
to Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc. and Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. , Engineers, to
undertake the engineering services required by EPA to complete the "sewer
system evaluation survey" (Infiltration/Inflow Study - for a fee not to exceed
$815, 000 - authorization to commence work cont-ILIngent upon increased grant award
from EPA in the amount of $611,250) was approved on a motion made by Council-
woman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Evans.

Resolution 76-218 authorizing the Fleet Maintenance Department to repair a
1975 AMC Matador Sedan (Police Staff Car,) , City #1059 , at a cost not to exceed
$2, 229 . 84 , was approved on a motion made by Councilman Evans and seconded by
Councilman Williams.

Ordinance No. 76-81 appropriating funds for defense of Entex rate litigation
and authorizing the retention of consultants to assist in said litigation
was considered:

CONSULTANT FEES, ATTORNEYS FEES, AND EX-

WITH ENTER, INC. ; AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOY-
MENT OF TOUCHE ROSS & COMPANY AND DON
BUTLER FOR SUCH SERVICES; ASSESSING THE
REASONABLE COSTS OF SUCH SERVICES AGAINST
