by the Police Department - Resolution 04-270
Administration recommends the purchase of an electronic handheld ticket writer
system from Enforcement Technology of Irvine, California in the amount of$71,234.
A computerized handheld ticket writer system reduces the time necessary to write a

captured in the handheld computers is uploaded periodically into the Municipal Court's
computer system. Issuing and processing traffic citations and parking tickets in this
manner reduces the time it takes to issue citations, eliminates manual data entry and
minimizes the error rate.
Funds are available in the Municipal Court Technology Fund.
