WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of twelve (12) automated refuse
collection trucks for the Solid Waste Management Department for residential refuse
collection; and,
WHEREAS, White GMC Trucks of Dallas submitted a bid in the amount of$124,270
each for twelve (12)Volvo GM Heavy Truck Xpeditors with Rapid Rail automated collection
bodies for a total of$1,491,240; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by White GMC
Trucks of Dallas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by White GMC Trucks of Dallas for the purchase of twelve (12)
Volvo GM Heavy Truck Xpeditors with Rapid Rail automated collection bodies for the Solid
Waste Management Department in the amount of$124,270 each for a total of$1,491,240
be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
