WHEREAS, on December 19, 2000, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas,awarded a contract to ALLCO, Inc., in the amount of$5,538,569.25 for the Concord
Road Pavement Improvement Project Phase III (including Travis Street); and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $22,120.17 was required to
remove an existing ten (10') foot by six (6') foot concrete box thereby increasing the
contract amount to $5,560,689.42; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in the amount of ($107,978.69) is required to
adjust the estimated quantities to reflect the quantities actually used during the
performance of the project, decreasing the contract amount to $5,452,710.73.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
2 in the amount of($107,978.69) required to adjust the estimated quantities, to reflect the
quantities actually used during the performance of the project, decreasing the contract
amount to $5,452,710.73. The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein
accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment in
the amount of$273,821.24 to be paid to ALLCO, Inc.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 10th day of
February, 2004.
