the status of some existing parks. The following changes should be
made to update the proposals section to reflect accomplishments in
this area and revisions in the proposals.

at Alice Keith Park. That facility is approximately fifty
years old and is of an above-ground design. Similar pools at
Magnolia and Liberia parks have been demolished. A new pool
has replaced the demolished pool at Magnolia Park. The
Liberia Park pool was not located in a community park, thus
its location and service area was not conducive to maximum
efficient and economical utilization. It is proposed that the
facility be replaced, but at the nearest suitable community
park in that area of the city. It is also recommended that
some action be taken concerning the pool facility at Alice
Keith Park and that an additional pool be located in the
western part of the city.
It is a desired goal that every community park in the City
have a swimming pool.
Delete the entire paragraph referring to Spindletop Park since the
proposal has been accomplished.
