WHEREAS bids were received for the purchase of one (1) eight (8) cubic yard dump
truck and one (1) fourteen (14) cubic yard dump truck for use by the Water Utilities
Department - Water Reclamation Division for transportng materials in their daily operations;
and,
WHEREAS, Atterbery Trucks of Beaumont submitted a bid in the amount of$35,474.29
for the eight (1) cubic yard dump truck and Barrett-White GMC of Tyler, Texas submitted a
bid in the amount of $58,990.00 for the fourteen (14) cubic yard dump truck; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Atterbery Trucks
and Barrett-White GMC are the best bids meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Atterbery Trucks of Beaumont for the purchase of one (1) eight
(8) cubic yard dump truck in the amount of $35,474.29 and Barrett-White GMC of Tyler,
Texas for the purchase of one (1) fourteeen (14) cubic yard dump truck in the amount of
$58,990.00 for use by the Water Utilities Department - Water Reclamation Division for
transporting materials in their daily operations, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the
day of 1992.
