R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS on February 6, 1989, City Council awarded a
contract to W. B. Construction, Inc. in the amount of $156,000.00
for the Woodlands 5 ' x 3 ' reinforced concrete drainage box
project; and,
WHEREAS, on April 6, 1989, Change Order No. 1 was
executed in the amount of $2,500.00 for the removal and
replacement of 100 square yards of 6-inch concrete pavement; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 was executed on June 28,
1989, in the amount of $1 ,180.00 for compensation for additional
time required to pump out water flushed into the drainage box
from a fire line; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order Nos. 1 and 2 increased the
contract making the new contract amount $159, 680. 00; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed by the
Contractor and is in conformance with the plans and
specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
the project and make final payment to W. B. Construction, Inc. in
the amount of $9,187.65 for the Woodlands 5 ' x 3 ' reinforced
concrete drainage box project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the 3rd day of July , 1989.
