R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on August 23, 1988, the City Council passed
Resolution 88-174 authorizing the City Manager to execute an
interlocal agreement with Drainage District No. 6 for the
construction of a bridge on Sherwood Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the project was
$139,425.00 with fifty percent of the cost being shared by
Drainage District No. 6 ; and,
WHEREAS, bids were received on February 21 , 1989 by the
District with the lowest bid being $187, 416.50 or $47, 991 .50
higher than the estimate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
all of the necessary documents for the city to share in the
additional cost of the bridge construction.
