R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jefferson County has recommended and approved
the sale of the property described as Lot 1 , Block 3, Vestal
Addition, to Joyce Ann Mitchell for the amount of Four Hundred
Sixty-Five Dollars and Twenty-Nine Cents ($465.29) ; and
WHEREAS, because such property is being held in trust
by Jefferson County for the City of Beaumont and the Beaumont
Independent School District, it is necessary for all three
entities to execute a deed to such property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Maurice Meyers, Mayor, be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a Deed Without Warranty to Joyce Ann Mitchell
transferring the interest that the City of Beaumont may have in
the property described as Lot 1 , Block 3, Vestal Addition.

THAT THE STATE OF TEXAS, acting by and through the Commissioners Court of
Jefferson County, Texas, and its presiding officer, R. P. LEBLANC, JR. , County
Judge, acting pursuant to an Order of the Commissioners Court of Jefferson
County, Texas, duly entered of record in the Minutes of the Commissioners Court
of Jefferson County; THE STATE OF TEXAS, having acquired title by virtue of a
Tax Judgment, No. B-102,018, and styled The City of Beaumont and Beaumont
Independent School District Vs. Alister Walton, Jr. and dated August 28, 1975;
said land having been put up for sale in accordance with the laws of Texas, and
said land being purchased by THE STATE OF TEXAS, through its agent, JEFFERSON
COUN'T'Y at said Foreclosure Sale; said purchase being for the use and benefit of
THE STATE OF TEXAS and all political subdivisions whose taxes are assessed and
collected by the Assessor-Collector of taxes for Jefferson County, and for all
other taxing units which were a part of said Judgment; for a consideration of
Four Hundred Sixty Five and 29/100 Dollars ($465.29) ; THE STATE OF TEXAS, acting
by and through its agent, JEFFERSON COUNTY, does by these presents Quit Claim
unto JOYCE ANN MITCHELL,, her heirs and assigns forever, all of its interest in
that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in Jefferson
County, Texas to-wit:
Lot No. ONE (1) , in Block No. THRET: (3) , of VESTAL ADDITION to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, according to the map or plat of said
addition of record in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson
County, Texas.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and
singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the said
JOYCE ANN MITCHELL, her heirs and assigns forever.
But it is distinctly understood and agreed. that this conveyance is made and
accepted without covenants and warranty of any kind, either express or implied.
