WHEREAS, right-of-way purchased for Spur 380, Phases I
and II, was purchased in the name of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in Phase III, the right-of-way will be purchased
in the name of the City of Beaumont and a portion of the property
acquired will be granted as an easement to Kansas City Southern
Railroad for railroad relocation; and,
WHEREAS, after the easements are granted, the City will
deed the property to the State subject to the easement and request
reimbursement; and,
WHEREAS, this process is necessary so as not to delay the
timely completion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the following parcels of land are hereby
approved:
Parcel 93: 8,675 square feet out of the Gentz
Addition
Owner: L. W . Basco d/b/a Basco
Lumber Company
Appraised Value: $22,500
Parcel 95 : 8,675 square feet out of the Gentz
Addition
Owner: Betty Jean Epps
Approved Value: $24,000
Parcel 103: 5 ,833 square feet out of the David
Brown League, Abstract 5
Owner: Mrs. Dora Venza Santangelo,
et al
Appraised Value: $17, 000

Parcel 109: 14, 753 square feet out of the David

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby , authorized to execute easements and deeds on Parcels
103, 109, 110 and 111, as necessary, to accomplish the purposes set
out herein.
