BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter
into a facility use agreement with the Civil Air Patrol, a copy of
which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" , allowing the use of
meeting room facilities.

COUNTY OF JEFFERSON AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Civil Air Patrol provides services to the City of Beaumont at
Beaumont Municipal Airport through its safety, search, rescue, development, and
promotional activities; and,
WHEREAS, the Civil Air Patrol provides such services to the public through a
coordinated, non-profit, air service organization; and,
WHEP^EAS, the Civil Air Patrol leases ground area from the City of Beaumont;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and its citizens benefit from activities of the
Civil Air Patrol at Beaumont Municipal Airport.
NOTJ, THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This agreement for use of the Municipal Airport Terminal Building is made and
entered into this day of 19_, by and between the City of
Beaumont as owner of Beaumont Municipal Airport, hereinafter called LESSOR, and
the Civil Air Patrol, hereinafter called LESSEE.

For meeting purposes, LESSEE shall be authorized to use the following
terminal building areas: conference/training room, lobby area, snack bar area,
restrooms. All areas leased or contracted to others are excluded. Notice of such
meetings shall be provided to the Director of Transportation, and be subject to
approval of the Director of Transportation.

When authorized, LESSEE may hold regular meetings at the Beaumont Municipal
Airport as necessitated for regular meetings or emergency situations. A key to
the building, which shall remain the property of LESSOR, shall be provided to
LESSEE for access before or after normal airport hours. LESSEE shall be
responsible for adequately locking and securing the building following any
meetings not occurring during normal airport hours. LESSEE shall be responsible
for the care and security of the building during its activities and shall assume
responsibility for any damages to the building resulting from its activities.

Civil Air Patrol hereby indemnifies the City of Beaumont against any claim,
liability, suit or cause of action arising from Civil Air Patrol's use of the
facilities, specifically including any claim, liability, suit or cause of action
arising from negligence or alleged negligence of the City of Beaumont.

Normal building and/or room charges may he waived by the Director of
Transportation for LESSEE's activities. Consideration from LESSEE to LESSOR may
be in safety, promotional, development, trade, rescue, search, public service or
other forms of value to LESSOR or the Citizens of Beaumont, Texas.

LESSOR may also waive aircraft parking or storage fees for up to three spaces
at Beaumont Municipal Airport, subject to approval of the Director of
Transportation, for LESSEE's aircraft used in the official activities. This
waiver is applicable only to aircraft owned and registered in the name of LESSEE
and.is otherwise regulated by policies and procedures regarding Beaumont Municipal
Airport.
7.
Termination of this agreement may be made upon thirty days written
notification by either party. All notices provided to be given by mail, addressed
to the proper party at the following address:
