HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 85-070 R E S O L U T I O N BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the amended guidelines for the C .D.B .G. Historic Preservation Program, as attached hereto as Exhibit "A" , be, and the same are hereby, adopted. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of ��,,r�,�, 1985. - Mayor - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT HISTORIC PRESERVATION PROJECT GUIDELINES B-84-MC-48-0003 - 1984 PROGRAM YEAR ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES: Funds may be used for rehabilitation, preservation, restoration, and acquisition of historic properties either publicly or privately owned. ELIGIBLE PROPERTIES: Publicly or privately owned sites or structures that are either listed in or eligible to be listed in the National Register of Historic Places, listed in the State or Local inventory of Historic Places, or designated as a state or local historic landmark or district by the appropriate law or ordinance. PRIORITY: Priority will be given first to residential properties, secondly to non-residential. Numerical ratings in the SPARE Beaumont survey shall also be considered. For projects of equal merit preference shall be given to projects that benefit lower- income families or individuals. TYPE OF FUNDING: Funding for Historic Preservation Rehabilitation will be in the form of a loan with zero percent (0%) interest and a maximum term of ten ( 10) years. There is no minimum or maximum loan amount specified. FUND AUTHORITY: Proposals for loan funds will be reviewed and approved by the Historical Landmark Commission and recommendations forwarded to the City Council for final selection. Prior approval on plans and specifications for property improvement must be received from the Texas Historical Commission as appropriate. �'� --74 Exhibit "A"
