R E S O L U T I O N
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to grant a
license to Alex Szafir, Jr. , in the form attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" , for the sum of $1 ,500 .00 .
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS :

The City of Beaumont, a municipal corporation, by and
through its duly authorized City Manager, hereinafter referred to as
"Grantor" in consideration for the sum of Ten Dollars ( $10.00) and
other good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged hereby grants to Emil Szafir, Miriam Szafir Willis, and
Alex Szafir, Jr. , their successors and assigns, hereinafter called
"Licensee" , the license to maintain a telephone box, gas meter, down
spout, a two inch ( 2" ) pipe and a two and one-half inch ( 2 1/2" ) pipe
and brick trim on the west side of a building hereinafter described,
encroaching upon City property within the property described as
follows, to-wit:
Being a strip of land one and two tenths feet wide
( 1 . 2 ' ) as shown upon Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and made a part hereof by reference for all
purposes; adjacent and extending along and with
the entire west face and side of that certain
multi-story building situated partially upon Lot
62 and upon all of the east 34 feet of Lot 63 ,
Block 13 of the original town of Beaumont,
Jefferson County , Texas known locally as 240
Forsythe Street, Beaumont, Texas.
This license shall terminate upon the removal, if ever, of
the building by' Licensees, their successors or assigns. By
acceptance, herein, Emil Szafir, Miriam Szafir Willis, and Alex
Szafir, Jr . hereby agree to all of the terms and conditions of this
license agreement.

personally appeared HUGH EARNEST, Acting City Mananger, known to me to
be the person and officer whose name is subscribed to the foregoing
instrument and acknowledged to me that the same was the act of the
said City of Beaumont, a municipal corporation, and that he has
executed the same as the act of the City of Beaumont for the purposes
and consideration therein expressed, and in the capacity therein
stated.
