WHEREAS, on July 14, 1981, the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract for Project 1 of the Community Development Block Grant
Census Tract 8 Improvements Project in the amount of $948,502. 50 to
Troy Dodson Construction Company; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 to the contract in the amount
of $47, 915. 00 was approved by Council on September 1, 1981, thereby
increasing the contract amount to $996, 417. 50; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed at a cost of
$974, 025. 85 or $22, 391. 65 below the original contract amount;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the project is hereby accepted and that the City Manager be,
and he is hereby , authorized to make final payment to Troy Dodson
Construction Company in the amount of $196, 449. 85.
