HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 81-494 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the purchase of property needed as an easement for a 24 inch water line for its appraised value; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the purchase from Leland Hendrix Best of a 15 foot permanent easement described in Exhibit "A" and attached hereto for all purposes is hereby authorized for the sum of $1, 224.62. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the if& day of 19�. Mayor - LELAND HENDRIX BEST EASEMENT DESCRIPTION A 15 foot wide permanent easement situated in the Wesley B. Dyches survey A-17, in the county of Jefferson, Texas. The tract of land is more generally described as the remaining lands of Leland Hendrix Best not acquired by the Big Thicket National Preserve, designated as tracts 176-15 and 176-19, bounded on the east by U.S. Highway Nos. 69, 9 6 and 287 and on the west by Voth Road, and the South by Broad Oak Avenue. The easement being more particularily described as follows: A strip of land 15 feet in width and approximately 233.26 feet in length; Beginning at a point that bears S78001 'W from the Northeast corner of said tract, along the North property line of said tract, a distance of approxi- mately 233.26 feet, to a point at the Northwest property corner of said tract, and end of easement.
