R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont deems
it necessary that the Dowlen Road Extension Project in the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas be located, constructed,
widened, extended and maintained; and,
WHEREAS, said City Council has found that a public
necessity exists requiring the location, construction, widening,
extension and maintenance, of said street on the hereinafter
described property; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to acquire
the hereinafter described interests in and to the hereinafter
described property for said location, construction, widening,
extension and maintenance of said street, and has found and
determined that said interests in and to the hereinafter described
land is suited for such purposes and that it is necessary to
acquire same for said purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont, through its duly
authorized representatives, has negotiated in good faith with the
owners of the hereinafter described land and has been unable to
agree with such owners of such property as to the fair market
value thereof and damages, if any ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Kenneth Wall, City Attorney, be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to file or cause to be filed against all owners of
the following parcels of land, and all claimants of any
interest therein, proceedings in eminent domain to acquire fee
title for said purposes, in and to the said parcels of land
described in Exhibits "A" through "C" attached hereto and made a
part hereof, each parcel of land situated in Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas:
Parcel No. 3 : 0 .058 of an acre tract of land
being out of Lot 31, Thurlow Court, City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.
Parcel No. 4 : 0 .058 of an acre tract of
land out of Lot 32, of Thurlow Court,
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.
Parcel No 11 : 0 .281 of an acre tract of
land out of Lot 2, Block 1 of Westwood
Addition, Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this

That certain 0.058 acre tract of land described as being out of Lot 31 of Thurlow
Court, a subdivision within the Charles Williams League, as recorded in Volume 5,
Page 111 of the Map Records of Jefferson County, Texas; said 0.058 acre tract being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a three-fourths (3/4) inch pipe found for the northwest corner of
said Lot 31 and the southwest corner of Lot 30 of said Thurlow Court; said three-
fourths (3/4) inch pipe also being on the present easterly right-of-way line of
"V" Street; said three-fourths (3/4) inch pipe also being the northwest corner
of the said 0.058 acre tract;
THENCE South 880 - 56' 30" East along the northerly line of said Lot 31, and
the southerly line of said Lot 30, a distance of 25.05 feet to an iron rod set on
the proposed easterly right-of-way line of Dowlen Road; said iron rod also being
the northeast corner of the said 0.058 acre tract;
THENCE South 010 03' 30" West along the said proposed easterly right-of-way line
of Dowlen Road, a distance of 99.97 feet to an iron rod set on the southerly
line of said Lot 31 and the northerly line of Lot 32 of said Thurlow Court; said
iron rod also being the southeast corner of the said 0.058 acre tract;
THENCE North 880 56' 30" West along the said southerly line of said Lot 31, and
` the said northerly line of said Lot 32, a distance of 25.08 feet to a point for
the southwest corner of said Lot 31; said point also being on the said present
easterly right-of-way line of "V" Street; said point also being the southwest
corner of the said 0.058 acre tract;

County,. Texas; said 0.281 acre tract .being more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod set at the northwest corner of said Lot 2 and the
northeast corner of Lot 1 of the said Westwood Addition; said iron rod also
being on the southerly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad;
THENCE North 820 45' 20" East along the northerly line of said Lot 2 and- the
said southerly right-of-way Line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, a dis-
tance of 65.28 feet to an iron rod set on the proposed easterly right-of-way
line of Dowlen Road;
THENCE South .090 54' 40" East along the said proposed easterly right-of-way
