R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the
purchase of a parcel of land needed for the Dowlen Road Extension
Project for its appraised value;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase from George A. Dishman and James C . Dishman of
Parcel 11-A, 0 .08 of an acre out of Lot 1 , Block 1, Westwood
Addition, and more fully described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto,
is hereby authorized for the sum of $7,000.00 .

That certain 0.079 acre tract of land described as being out of Lot 1, Block 1 of
Westwood Addition as recorded in Volume 5, Page 82 of the Map Records of Jefferson
County, Texas; said 0.079 acre tract of land being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod set on the southerly right-of-way line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad for the northeast corner of said Lot I and the
said 0. 079 acre tract; said iron rod also_being the northwest corner of
Lot 2 of said Westwood Addition;
THENCE South 000 24' 40" East along the easterly line of the ;aid Lot 1
and the westerly line of said Lot 2, a distance of 151. 44 feet to a twen-
ty (20) inch Hackberry Tree on the northerly right-of-way line. of West-
wood Blvd. for the southeast corner of said Lot 1 and the 0.079 acre tract;
THENCE North 890 23' 18" West along the southerly line of said Lot 1 and
the said northerly right-of-way line of Westwood Blvd. , a distance of 12. 26
feet to an iron rod set on the proposed westerly right-of-way line of Dow-
len Road; said iron rod also being the southwest corner of the said 0.079
acre tract;
THENCE North 080 23' 39" West along the said proposed westerly right-of-way
line of Dowlen Road, a distance of 85.29 feet to an iron rod set for a Point
of Tangency in the said proposed westerly right-of-way line of Dowlen Road;
THENCE North 090 54' 40" West along the said proposed westerly right-of-way
line of Dowlen Road, a distance of 63.50 feet to an iron rod set on the
southerly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad for tine north-
west corner of the said 0.079 acre tract;
