WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the acquisition of land for the
Concord Road Right-of-Way Project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the following parcel as shown on Exhibit "A" for the Concord Road
Right-of-Way Project be and the same is hereby approved:
Parcel No. 4: 0.517 acre out of the James
Drake Survey, Abstract 18
(1650 Caldwell)
Appraised Value: $65,081.00
Less Improvements Retained: 0.00
Less 2,541 sq. ft. land in trade @ $1.25/sq. ft. $3,176.25
Total Compensation: $61,904.75
Owners: Beaumont Independent School District
Appraiser: Bishop Real Estate Appraisers, Inc.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
convey to the Beaumont Independent School District the 14,684 square feet of the portion
of the remainder of Maritime Avenue and the 10,377 square feet of the remainder of Parcel
No. 7 all out of the James Drake Survey, Abstract 18 as shown on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto.
