WHEREAS bids were received on Monday, May 19, 1997 for the purchase of one
(1) diesel powered excavator mounted on a crawler type undercarriage for excavating and
moving dirt for daily cover at the City's landfill; and,
WHEREAS, Mustang Tractor& Equipment Company, Beaumont, Texas submitted
a bid in the amount of$228,531.00 with a guaranteed three (3) year repurchase price of
$159,500 and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Mustang Tractor
& Equipment Company in the amount of $228,531.00 with a guaranteed three (3) year
repurchase price of$159,500 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Mustang Tractor & Equipment Company in the amount of
$228,531.00 with a guaranteed three (3) year repurchase price of $159,500 for the
purchase of one (1) Caterpillar Model 330 BL excavator be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
