HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 97-10 RESOLUTION NO. —ice WHEREAS, on March 26, 1996, City Council awarded a contract to Allco, Inc. for the South Park Drainage Project - Phase I in the amount of$2,947,124.24; and, WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 and 2 increased the contract amount to $3,339,483.42; and, WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 is being requested to increase the contract amount by $14,099.41 due to the following changes: - A modification in the type of concrete used at the intersection of Lavaca and Chaison to provide a more timely opening of the intersection - Changes in the horizontal and vertical location of the 30" water line between Brockman and Threadneedle due to conflicts arising from the modification of Chaison Street from asphalt to concrete - Reductions in costs from the deletion of the water line on Virginia and modifications to the storm sewer box installation in the easement between Saxe and Virginia streets - Additional valve at request of Water Utilities Department NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 3, as stated above, with Allco, Inc. in the amount of $14,099.41. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of 1997. - Mayor -
