WHEREAS, bids were received Monday, March 31, 1997 for furnishing one 50 ton
drop deck lowboy trailer and two ten (10)ton tandem axle equipment trailers for the Water
Utilities Department, Water Distribution and Sewer Maintenance Divisions; and,
WHEREAS, Smart's Truck&Trailer Equipment, Inc. submitted a bid of$43,765.00
for the purchase of one (1) 50 ton Holden Model HMF50; and,
WHEREAS, Bourg Trailer Industries submitted a bid of $15,300.00 for the
purchase of two (2) ten (10) ton equipment trailers ; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Smart's Truck
&Trailer Equipment, Inc. in the amount of$43,765.00 for the purchase of one (1) 50 ton
Holden Model HMF50 and the bid submitted by Bourg Trailer Industries in the amount of
$15,300.00 for the purchase of two (2)ten (10)ton equipment trailers should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Smart's Truck & Trailer Equipment, Inc. and Bourg Trailer
Industries for the purchase of one (1) 50 ton Holden Model HMF50 in the amount of
$43,765.00 and two (2) ten (10) ton equipment trailers in the amount of $15,300.00
respectively be and are hereby accepted.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
