WHEREAS, on April 30, 1996, City Council awarded a contract to Brystar
Contracting, Inc. for water and sewer system improvements for a portion of Major Drive
between College Street and Walden Road in the amount of$299,695.00; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 and Final is being requested to adjust quantities
of unit price bid items to provide for the installation of additional water mains and sanitary
sewer mains and necessary appurtenances for completion of the project in the amount of
$58,636.02;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1
and Final, as stated above, with Brystar Contracting, Inc., in the amount of$58,636.94.
The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein accepted and the City Manager
be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment in the amount of$75,905.02.
