BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Council hereby authorizes the Police Department to apply for and accept
a granted entitled "S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)" from the Criminal
Justice Division (CJD) in the amount of $21,387 to provide for a Case Specialist for the
Domestic Violence Unit; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Beaumont Police Department will
provide a cash and in-kind match of$8,229; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Beaumont will, in the event of
loss or misuse of Criminal Justice Division funds, return the funds, in full, to the Criminal
Justice Division.
