RESOLUTION NO. y
WHEREAS, on January 29, 1996, bids were received for furnishing all materials,
machinery, labor and equipment necessary for the construction of auger cast piles,
reinforced concrete beams, stabilization of grade beams, replacement of concrete walks,
repair of steel floor joists and all work related to the repair of the foundation of the Julie
Rogers Theatre building; and,
WHEREAS, A & B Builders, Inc. submitted a bid of$368,200; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by A & B Builders,
Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by A & B Builders, Inc. for furnishing all materials, machinery,
labor and equipment necessary for the construction of auger cast piles, reinforced
concrete beams, stabilization of grade beams, replacement of concrete walks, repair of
steel floor joists and all work related to the repair of the foundation of the Julie Rogers
Theatre building in the amount of$368,200 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
