WHEREAS bids were received on Monday, February 9, 1998 for the purchase of stage
lighting fixtures and accessories for the Julie Rogers Theater; and,
WHEREAS, Production Advantage, Inc., Winooski, Vermont submitted a bid in the amount
of$32,444.00 for the purchase of sixty (60) Source Four Model 410 and 419 elliposidal lighting
fixtures and fifteen (15) Altman 8 ft. strip lights, and Texas Scenic Company, Inc., San Antonio,
Texas submitted a bid in the amount of$24,522.08 for two (2) NSI/Colortran cyclorama lighting
fixtures and twenty-four (24) Wybron Model 7100 digital color scrollers; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Production Advantage,
Inc, in the amount of$32,444.00 and Texas Scenic Company, Inc. in the amount of$24,522.08
for the purchase of stage lighting fixtures and accessories for the Julie Rogers Theater should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Production Advantage, Inc. in the amount of $32,444.00 for the
purchase of sixty (60) Source Four Model 410 and 419 elliposidal lighting fixtures and fifteen (15)
Altman 8 ft. strip lights, and the bid submitted by Texas Scenic Company, Inc., in the amount of
$24,522.08 for two (2) NSI/Colortran cyclorama lighting fixtures and twenty-four (24) Wybron
Model 7100 digital color scrollers be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the Zfa day of
1998.
