ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26 ,
SECTION 26-24 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO ESTABLISH MAXIMUM AND
MINIMUM SPEEDS IN CERTAIN ZONES; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That Chapter 26 , Section 26-24 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Beaumont be, and the same is hereby,
amended to remove the following streets and locations from
Schedule "B" and put them into Schedule "A" .
Section 26-24 : Maximum and minimum speeds established in certain
zones.

Ewing N & S From a point 40 feet
north of the centerline
of McFaddin to a point
40 feet south of the
centerline of North
Street.
McFaddin E & W From a point 120 feet
east of the centerline
of Ewing to a point 100
feet west of the
centerline of Oakland.
North E & W From a point 130
feet west of 4the
centerline of Center to
a point 220 feet west
of the centerline of
Oakland.
Oakland N & S From a point 40 feet
north of the centerline
of McFaddin to a point
40 ' south of the
centerline of North
Street.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are delcared to be
severable.
Section 3 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
Section 4.
That any person who violated any provision of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in
Section 1 -8 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
