HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 93-57 ORDINANCE NOM ' 7 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A RECORDS MANAGEMENT ARCHIVE IN A GC-MD (GENERAL COMMERCIAL MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING) ZONING DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY ENCOMPASSING 4.367 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, BEING LOTS 1 AND 11-14, BLOCK 26, AND LOTS 4-7, BLOCK 3, GIROLAMO ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Beaumont desires to issue a specific use permit to Bruce Craig to allow construction of a records management archives facility with access from Concord Road in a GC-MD (General Commercial Multiple-Family Dwelling) zoning district on 4.367 acres, more or less, being Lots 1 and 11-14, Block 2, and Lots 4-7, Block 3, Girolamo Addition as described in Exhibit "A' attached hereto, in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the issuance of such specific use permit is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the hereinafter described conditions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. That all conditions necessary for issuance of a specific use permit have been met and a specific use permit to allow a records management archives facility with access from Concord Road in a GC-MD (General Commercial Multiple-Family Dwelling) zoning district on 4.367 acres, more or less, being Lots 1 and 11-14, Block 2, and Lots 4-7, Block 3, �29- ZJ- 7 Y C &- 9y Girolamo Addition is hereby granted to Bruce Craig,his legal representatives, successors and assigns for that certain tract described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, subject to the above conditions. Section 2. That the specific use permit herein granted is expressly issued for and in accordance with each particular and detail of the site plan attached hereto as Exhibit 'B" and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 3. Notwithstanding the site plan attached hereto, the use of the property hereinabove described shall be in all other respects subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, as amended. Sewe F.raw oA I PQ Nil f g� At a Joint Public Hearing on 9/20/93, the Planning Commission voted 5:0 to approve the zone change and specific use permit, subject to the following conditions: the erection of required fence within 30 days after passage of request by Council and compliance with all terms for approval as indicated in the applicant's previous request for a specific use permit within six months of approval by Council for applicant's present request.
