ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
92-13 WHICH CALLED A GENERAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ON THE 2ND DAY
OF MAY, 1992, TO CHANGE THE POLLING PLACE FOR
PRECINCT 85 FROM BINSWANGER GLASS COMPANY TO
ELEVENTH STREET CHURCH OF CHRIST, 3710 SOUTH
ELEVENTH STREET; TO CHANGE THE NUMBER OF POLLING
PLACES NEEDED IN THE JOINT ELECTION WITH
BEAUMONT INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
WHEREAS, on the 11th day of February, 1992, Ordinance
No. 92-13 was passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont
calling a general election to be held in the City of Beaumont on
the 2nd day of May, 1992 ; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to change the polling place
for Precinct 85 from Binswanger Glass Company to Eleventh Street
Church of Christ, 3710 South Eleventh Street; and
WHEREAS, it is also necessary to reflect that the
joint election with Beaumont Independent School District will be
held in twenty-one (21) precinct polling places for the election
of three Trustees (Districts II, III, and V) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That Exhibit "A" to Ordinance No. 92-13 be, and the
same is hereby, amended to change the polling place for Precinct
85 from Binswanger Glass Company, 4225 College, to Eleventh
Street Church of Christ, 3710 South Eleventh Street.

Section 2 .
That Section 10 of Ordinance No. 92-13 be amended to
reflect the election of three Beaumont Independent School
District Trustees to be held in 21 voting precincts.
Section 3 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any
reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect
the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the
various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.
Section 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extend of the conflict only.
