ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ISSUING A SPECIFIC USE
PERMIT TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENCE WITH A TOTAL HEIGHT OF 40
FEET ON LOT 9, BLOCK 1, OAK LANE ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, CONTAINING 0.9 ACRES OF LAND,
KNOWN AS 8120 EVANGELINE LANE IN AN AREA
ZONED RS (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY
DWELLING), BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Beaumont considered
the issuance of a specific use permit to allow construction of a single family residence with a
total height of 40 feet on Lot 9, Block 1, Oak Lane Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, containing 0.9 acres of land, known as 8120 Evangeline Lane in an area zoned
RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) to Dr. and Mrs. Gary E. Vaughn, their legal
representatives, successors, and assigns for that certain property; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the issuance of such specific use
permit is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the hereinafter
described conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That all conditions necessary for issuance of a specific use permit have been met and
a specific use permit to allow Dr. and Mrs. Gary E. Vaughn to construct a single family
residence with a total height of 40 feet on Lot 9, Block 1, Oak Lane Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.9 acres of land, known as 8120 Evangeline
Lane in an area zoned RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling), Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, their legal representatives, successors and assigns for that certain tract described on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, subject to the above
conditions.
Section 2.
That the specific use permit herein granted is expressly issued for in accordance with
each particular and detail of the site plan attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof
for all purposes.
Section 3.
Notwithstanding the site plan attached hereto, the use of the property hereinabove
described shall be in all other respects subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in
Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, as amended.
